08 Nov Se.co.pack Srl obtains Second Life Plastic Certification for Loop films
Se.co.pack Srl has obtained the Plastic Second Life (PSV) Certification for products in the LOOP range.
This Certification, recognized at the European level, relies on the guarantees offered by UNI UNIPLAST and EN 15353 industry technical standards and third-party audits carried out by accredited certification bodies.
Applies the concept of “traceability” of recycled materials and calculates their content according to UNI EN ISO 14021.
It therefore ensures that the plastic materials used in our LOOP products come from controlled and tracked recycling supply chains, contributing to more sustainable waste cycle management, promoting resource reuse and reduced use of virgin raw materials.
For Clients, it certifies the traceability of recycled raw materials and manufactured goods throughout the production and distribution chain, allowing them to choose a stretch film that complies with the principles of circularity.
Added value for our customers
Thanks to PSV certification, we are able to offer products that can support our customers’ sustainability initiatives and their reporting activities, testifying to their effective commitment to environmental issues, with a positive impact on corporate image.
Raffaele Volpi, Sustainability Manager of Se.co.pack, who directly followed the entire certification process, says, “We are pleased to have reached this milestone, which is in line with our Vision as an innovative company that has always been committed to sustainability.
We have partnered with IPPR, Institute for the Promotion of Recycling Plastics, because we strongly believe in the valorization of plastic waste as a way to reduce the use of virgin fossil-based raw materials.
The PSV scheme, owned by IPPR, made it possible to obtain certification of our LOOP products through an instrument recognized at the European level. “
For Se.co.pack, it is essential to become a benchmark with products that can contribute to packaging circularity and environmental, social and economic sustainability, without neglecting the requirements of quality and reliability that are essential for customers.
